Here you will find links and background information on various websites I have designed, created, maintain(ed), or projects that have contributed to the given website. Some of the websites I have provided links to may no longer be available or in use, so for those I have provided the last working copy I submitted at the end of the project and am hosting it here for you to browse.

Professional Sites

Mmofra Trom Bead Project
This was a project I completed over the summer, on the side, while interning full-time. The Bentley Entrepreneurial Society (BES) works with Bentley and the Mmofra Trom Skills Center (located near Somanya, Ghana) in marketing and selling bracelets in the U.S. to help raise funds for the center. The site was asked to be built with two goals in mind: 1.) inform people about the initiatives and work being done at the center, and 2.) to provide another channel to sell the bracelets. The site has been active since August and has been providing a great resource in the BES’s marketing initiatives.

Keurig Authorized Distributor Resource Site
(email me for the link)
This was the site I built for Keurig as an Intern in the Summer of 2009. It was an amazing project to work on, from start to finish.

Sean Finnegan, Personal Portfolio (Version #2)
This was my second redesign of this portfolio website (a great improvement over my original version).

Sean Finnegan, Personal Portfolio (Version #1)
This was my first portfolio website that I designed, coded, and implemented from scratch. Not too shabby for a newbie!
Academic Sites

IDCC 380: Web Design II
As you could probably guess, this was my second web design course. I took this class the semester following my previous design class and is where my skill really enhanced. I also first dabbled with jQuery at the end of this class.

IDCC 380: Dream Site
This was sort of a “culminating project” for the 380 design class, where I was allowed to create a simple website of my choosing from scratch, and without any restrictions.

IDCC 370: Web Design I
This was the very first web design course I took, and it is literally where I first learned HTML and CSS with very little previous knowledge.

CS 213: The World Wide Web
This course’s objective was mostly to learn JavaScript, with basic HTML taught in the beginning. This site itself was not created for its design, but the assignments and JavaScript features and assignments completed throughout the semester. This is definitely where my JavaScript foundation was built.

CS 240: Class Journal
This is a simple one-page website I created for my course journal in this class. I made it to just build up my CSS and jQuery skills and exposure, and of course to impress my professor into giving me a higher grade (just kidding professor).

CS 299 Project Blog: Grooveshark.com
This was a simple Wordpress site, whose theme I customized to serve the needs of the project we created the blog for. It was a fun little project, and even got attention by the company we did our project on, Grooveshark.com, on Twitter!

CS 299 Class Blog
I didn’t do much in way of development for this site, but it consists of a semester’s worth of blog assignments for a new course offered by Bentley on Web 2.0 technology and theory.
Other Web Creations

Bentley Model United Nations
This was a complete redesign (visually and IA-wise). I created the design, HTML, and CSS myself, and basically everything else on the site.
Web Implementations

Bentley P.R.I.D.E.
I got my first interaction with Wordpress on this project. The organization’s previous site was out of date and we wanted to have one that would be easy to maintain once it was set up, and Bentley recently made way for easy Wordpress website creation on their new server. So, I found a Wordpress theme that we agree upon and customized it (not too much) to fit the organization’s needs. I now work in the Wordpress admin area to maintain the content and add new plugins/features.

Bentley RHA
On this site I bascially re-coded the entire site. The HTML was old and out of date, so I re-wrote it to current standards and implemented valid CSS. The design remained unchanged, but the HTML structure and IA is now easy to understand for future student webmasters of this site who will update, maintain, and grow the site.
Update: We have since switched over to Wordpress, of which I was in charge of moving the old site and customizing the template for the site that is currently in use.
